Learning English at University was very similar to my
experience in the past English courses that I had at school.
Fortunately, my University teachers were as good as my school teachers.
One thing that I would highlight is the compromise within
my university classmates in order to do their best to participate in
class and keep a good learning environment. When I was studying at
school, that was a huge obstacle for everyone who was interested in
paying attention to the class, so I'm very grateful
for that.
Even if I have a "decent" English level, there's always
something new to learn: an unknown word, a expression, or a
pronunciation that I missed. So I think that having a continuous English
courses during my education was always something that
I needed. Since this will be my last English course ever, I will try to
improve my English level by reading books, articles or forums in
English.
I've already done this through all this years by myself, but this time I'll try to read more complicated texts.
For my pronunciation, I'm always trying to repeat
English phrases out loud (from movies or songs), I think it's a very
good way to practise.
Finally, I would say that the blog dynamic was a very
effective way to be practicing our English reading/writing skills. I
really think that it helped me a lot, and I wish that my school teacher
would have done the same! (but probably all my
classmates would have used Google translator instead of trying to write
their blogs by themselves haha). Anyway, I think it's a very good way
to argument and express our feelings, since we don't usually have the
opportunity to do so in English.
Thanks for your thoughts and excellent work during this semester
